SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Kent County Standards of Recording. The prior $8.00 per page fee has been replaced with a $30.00 per document fee for any docs that do not meet the Kent County "Standards of Recording" as follows:

  1. Document size:8"x11"
  2. Margins at least: Top of first page 1.25"; bottom of last page 2"; all right margins .75"; all other margins .5"
  3. Font Size: average at least 10 point (15 characters per inch)
  4. Tax parcel ID: full 25 characters on upper third of first page
  5. Notary: Name, title, and expiration date must be typed, stamped, or legibly printed in black ink.

Sussex County has specified 12 point and 15 characters per inch as of September 2000. Page number: Number all pages, including attachments, sequentially.
